Cricut Press Instructions

This is a general guide on how to use a Cricut press with your Print Magic DTF Transfers. Scroll below to get a step by step guide on how to apply!

What You'll Need:

Print Magic DTF Transfer

Cricut Press

Parchment Paper Or Teflon Sheet

1. Place Your Design

After you received your Print Magic Transfer, it is time to press it to your garment! Carefully place your transfer in the desired location to prepare it for the first heat press.

2. Press Your Transfer

Adjust your circuit to 315 degrees and 15 seconds. If the heat isn’t sufficient for the transfer to adhere to your shirt, increment it by 15 degrees each time and retry. Experiment until you determine the optimal settings.

Before applying pressure, cover the transfer with parchment paper or a Teflon sheet for 20 seconds, exerting firm pressure.

Keep in mind that over-pressing your transfers is not possible, just be mindful about your garment and the temperature. The more effectively they are pressed, the greater their durability during washing and drying.

3. Let Your Transfer Cool. Then Peel.

After completing the first press, you should be able to peel immediately after you press if the correct amount of pressure was applied. If it does not pull off, allow the transfer to cool until it reaches a touchable temperature (at least 15-30 seconds). Once cooled, lift the transfer from one corner and gently peel it back. Ensure every part of your design adheres to the item. If not, refrain from continuing the peeling process and follow the guidance below.

If some or all of the design doesn’t transfer properly, and it was cool during peeling, it indicates insufficient heat, pressure, or time. Place the transfer back in position, press it again with increased pressure and time initially (+5 seconds). If this doesn’t resolve the issue, raise the heat setting until you discover the optimal conditions. Importantly, it’s impossible to overpress and damage the transfer itself.

4. Press For Final Time

Place the parchment paper or a Teflon Sheet over the design and press your garment again with the same settings for 5 seconds.
